Writing of long format pieces is an integral part of training in Journalism and Mass Communication. SJMC at Apeejay Stya University puts special emphasis or reading and writing. Even though 60 percent of the courses are more practical in nature with hands on training on equipment like cameras, microphones and editing machines, and the use of studio. However, no matter what line or platform you choose, reading and writing well will be required throughout your professional life. So all students of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication are made to write long format pieces, do research, and put their findings in proper perspective. Even though two long years of COVID-19 made it difficult to monitor teaching-learning across the board, but our students and teachers used the time and opportunity to do some high level research, some related to COVID-19 and others related to the communication platform they were interested in.
