This book has been written to give a clear picture and to evaluate lending operations of DCCBs in Andhra Pradesh. Besides, it includes a case study of the lending operations, loan recovery performance and operating performance evaluation of DCCBs in the district of Visakhapatnam.
Literatures in co-operatives are lacking, that too in the form of books. Very few people attempted to write the District co-operative central banks, Visakhapatnam. Strenuous efforts have been undertaken by Mr. N. Barou, Mr. G. M. Laud and Prof. B. N. Choubey to write books on co-operative banks in India, during various periods. Co-operators and academicians relished their contributions. I salute these soldiers of co-operation, whose names would be remembered for ever in the history of the co-operative movement in India.
